Special Interview Camp for Boarding School Admission

Primus Edu and C&C Educational Consulting are excited to offer a specialized Interview Prep Camp in Seoul, Korea from August 11th - 15th.

Joseph Choi of Primus Edu, brings decades of experience helping Korean students apply to U.S.  boarding schools and supporting them as a local guardian throughout their study abroad journey. He plays a crucial role as a mentor and guide to ensure students thrive during their time overseas.

Joining Joseph are Christopher Loftus and Caleb Thomsom, who together bring over 60 years of experience in U.S. boarding schools, serving as Admissions Directors and Enrollment Managers. With their extensive backgrounds, Christopher and Caleb offer a deep insight into the interview process. Having personally interviewed countless students and navigated the intricacies of the selection process, Christopher and Caleb are ideally positioned to guide students through this critical phase of their application journey. This program is thoughtfully designed to provide students with the essential  skills and confidence needed to excel in their upcoming interviews and school visits.

The camp will feature:

  • Two comprehensive 90-minute in-person sessions held in Seoul

  • A personalized 60-minute follow-up Zoom session scheduled in September or October, leading up to school visits and interviews

  • A direct advocacy call made to the student's first-choice school to further support their application

During the week of August 11th, students will benefit from two distinct 90-minute sessions, one led by Caleb, and the other by Christopher. These sessions will focus on effective techniques and strategies for delivering impactful and memorable school interviews. Additionally, a one-hour Zoom meeting with either of them will be arranged individually before the student's scheduled  school visits and interviews.

This unique opportunity will empower students to articulate their stories with greater confidence,  enabling admissions officers to gain a clear understanding of their strengths and character as students, athletes, artists, musicians, and global citizens. We believe this camp will be invaluable in helping students make a strong and positive impression during their secondary school interviews.

We will work to further develop these important skill sets:

  • Preparation - Learning to research each school and specific programs of interest and practicing common interview questions

  • Communication Skills - Enhancing clear and concise speaking, active listening, and  the ability to effectively articulate thoughts and experiences

  • Confidence - Projecting self-assurance in one's abilities and experiences, even when  discussing challenges

  • Storytelling - Crafting and sharing relevant anecdotes and examples that highlight  skills, achievements, and personality to create a lasting impression

  • Enthusiasm and Interest - Demonstrating genuine excitement about each school and the opportunity to join their community

  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving - Developing the ability to think on one's feet and provide thoughtful responses to various questions

  • Self-Awareness - Gaining a deeper understanding of one's strengths, weaknesses,  interests, and goals to answer questions authentically

  • Asking Insightful Questions - Preparing thoughtful questions to ask the interviewer,  showing engagement and genuine interest

  • Poise Under Pressure - Maintaining composure and the ability to think clearly when faced with challenging questions or nervousness

  • Professionalism - Demonstrating respectful behavior, maintaining appropriate eye contact, and using polite language and appropriate attire

The investment for this enriching experience is $2,500.00 USD.
